Gujarat State Chief Minister has announced the battery operated E-Bike (Two Wheeler) Scheme to prevent air pollution from vehicles in the cities of the state. Gujarat Two Wheeler Scheme has been announced to promote the use of Two Wheeler and Three Wheeler. Under this scheme, students from 9th class to college in the state will get a subsidy of Rs. 12,000/- on E-Bike.

The state has a target to provide subsidy to ten thousand e-scooters, not only this, the state government has also decided to give Rs 48,000/- on purchase of battery operated E-Bike to individual and institutional beneficiaries and five e-rickshaws will get the benefit. For providing e-scooter facility, Rs 50 lakh has been gifted to the citizens and environment friends of the state as a Panchsheel gift of five development schemes of the state on the 70th birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Apart from this, a scheme of Rs 50 lakh has also been implemented to provide enhanced facilities for charging battery operated vehicles. 11 years ago, when Narendra Modi was the Prime Minister of Gujarat, he established the air department. On the day of establishment of the department, a series of programs were organized for Ujwani. Addressing the program through video conferencing, the Chief Minister said that Gujarat is the leader of Gujarat in the solar system of the country with green energy and clean energy.

- This scheme only allows the purchase of battery operated e-scooters.
- Under the Dwichakri scheme, about 10 thousand e-scooters will be given.

- Under the e-rickshaw scheme, a subsidy of Rs 50,000/- will be given.
- Under the e-rickshaw scheme, about five thousand e-rickshaws will be given.
- Under the two-wheeler scheme, you can buy battery operated e-scooters and e-rickshaws.

The Chief Minister has set a target of installing solar systems on 2 lakh houses in the current year. Gujarat ranks first in the country in installing solar systems on houses. In the last three years, with the help of government subsidy, more than 1 lakh 38 thousand solar systems totaling 510 MW have been installed. In the current year too, there is a project to install solar systems on 2 lakh houses with a Jogwai of Rs 915 crore.
The total installed capacity of electricity in the state is 35,500 MW. The contribution of renewable energy is 30%, which is more than the national level of 23%. During the year, about 2 million tons of carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere and 10 million tons of coal is saved for power generation.
