Under that program, the government has recently decided to develop the internet sector in the village. Because, if the villages are to be connected with the city and the world, then the development of internet is very necessary.

Digitizing villages and connecting them to the Internet will bring huge benefits and targets to GDP. The government is thinking about that. Not only that, even today, students in the villages lack internet. Due to which their education is being disrupted.
The children in the whole area have a lot of skills. But a bridge is needed to connect that skill to the world. It is also imperative to provide complete information of all government schemes and its benefits to the villages.
As a result now, the PM Vani scheme has been launched by the Central Government to bring WiFi revolution in all the villages in almost every state of India. Under the scheme, the state government and the central government will jointly expand WiFi connectivity in every village in India.
The PM Vani project, launched on December 10, 2020, is worth about Rs 11,000 crore. The entire cost will be borne by the government. Under the scheme, about 10 lakh free lip spots will be set up in more than 2.5 lakh villages. Which will extend free WiFi, internet connectivity to the underprivileged industry and residential area.
What is PM Vani Yojana?
The full name of PM Vani Yojana is Prime Minister WiFi Access Network Interface. It was announced by the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi on December 9, 2020. The PM Vani Yojana was also approved by the Union Cabinet on December 9, 2020.Under the scheme, almost every village in the country will be connected to the internet in the next three years. Which will also bring a very big revolution in the development of WiFi technology. Under the scheme, WiFi facility will be provided by the government in Gram Panchayats as well as in public places in the village. This feature will be free.
The scheme will make it easier for people to access the internet. This will lead to digital revolution and increase in employment opportunities.
For successful implementation of the scheme, Public Data Centers i.e. Public Data Offices or PDO WiFi hotspots will be started across the country. For which no person will have to register or register any license. Not only that, you will not have to pay any fee.
The scheme will provide WiFi service very easily to medium to small shopkeepers. Which will help increase their revenue and bring the business to the global community. In addition, the Internet connection will be easily available to the general public. The scheme will also go a long way in making India fully digital.
PM Vani Yojana Registration
The PM speech scheme is based on three main pillars. These include no license, no registration and no fee. It is not necessary to take any kind of license and pay under the scheme. The plan will be completely free.But those who want to start a public data office and provide internet service will have to register with DOT i.e. Department of Telecommunications. Which portal to register for Public Data Office, how to do it and what kind of documents will be required? The government has not yet issued any guidelines in this regard.
The Cabinet has approved the provision of submarine optical fiber cable connectivity for the islands of Lakshadweep under the scheme.
Benefits of PM Vani Yojana
According to TRAI, the number of broadband users will increase by 10 per cent and the country's GDP by 1.4 per cent.Internet will be available in every corner of the country. As a result, new Internet users will join. In particular, small business units, people from traditional entertainment industries, home industry operators, those involved in rural education, agriculture, dairy industry, animal husbandry, etc., will be able to connect to the Internet and do e-commerce with intensive training.
The government will also be much easier to work with and there will be greater transparency and interactivity in all types of transactions.

How will the Public Data Office (PDO) work ?
The Public Data Office (PDO) will be established on the principle of Public Call Office (PCO). The PDO will operate and maintain a voice-compatible WiFi access point only to deliver broadband services to its customers. These PDOs will either provide the Internet manually or lease it from another Internet Service Provider (ISP).A PDO aggregator will also be set up to manage individual PDOs. Which will also do the work of authorizing numerous PDOs and their accounting. The central government is going to develop an application for speech users. Which will provide voice users with the facility for mandatory registration on the network and unique identification.
The app will also help every registered user to find voice compatible WiFi hotspots in nearby areas of the user. In addition a central registry will be created. Which will maintain the details of voice application providers and PDOs. This register will be handled only by the Center for Development of Telematics.
If a customer wants to access the internet network on the basis of PDO, he will be able to access the internet only after doing e-KYC. That provision has also been added from a security standpoint.
Who will be appointed as PDO ?
Anyone can be an ordinary shopkeeper, homemaker, tea curry, leafy gall, rickshaw puller or any ordinary person. But it must have a commercial broadband connection.The same person will be considered able to provide this facility. There will not be any restriction under this project regarding the service provider which will make the slogan of development of all meaningful.
